CONGRATULATORY MESSAGEFROM THE MAYOR OF TSANTSABANE LOCAL MUNICIPALITY

The Mayor and Council of Tsantsabane Local Municipality extend their heartfelt congratulations to the Matric Class of 2025 in the Northern Cape, with special pride in the outstanding performance of the ZF Mgcawu District, which achieved an impressive 90.1% pass rate, making it the second-highest performing district in the province.

We further congratulate our three Postmasburg high schools for flying the flag of Tsantsabane high:

  • PMG High School – 97.3%
  • Blinklip Secondary School – 87.9%
  • Ratang Thuto Secondary School – 82.8%

These remarkable results are a clear reflection of hard work, discipline, commitment, and resilience shown by our learners.

Kopanang Bagodi

The Mayor of Tsantsabane, Cllr Helena English, and the councilors today hosted an event for the elders of Tsantsabane, themed “Kopanang Bagodi”, at the Postmasburg Showgrounds. The event brought together elders from all wards of Tsantsabane, showcasing the municipality’s commitment to its senior citizens.
This initiative aligns with the Tsantsabane Local Municipality’s efforts to support and empower its communities, particularly the elderly.

The Postdene Asbestos Roof Removal Project

The SIOC-CDT Board of Trustees’ Project Review Committee is currently on the ground in Postdene. The Trustees are visiting the Postdene Asbestos Roof Removal Project to assess the progress made so far. They are joined by the CEO Anita Loots, Mayor of Tsantsabane Local Municipality, Cllr Helena English, as well as the local ward councillor Marco Lottering.

A key part of the visit is meeting beneficiaries to hear their first-hand experiences and understand what additional support they may need as the project continues. Our goal is to ensure the project runs smoothly and that our beneficiaries are supported and not negatively affected in any way.
