Tsantsabane Local Municipality employees and managent, Council held Moment of Silence for the late Traffic officer TP Ramatla

Tsantsabane Local Municipality are the host of the Northern Cape Provincial SAMWA Games. The games are held Postmasburg Showgrounds.

The official opening of the games was made by the Mayor of Tsantsabane cllr Helena English who emphasized that this type of games are important for the well being of the employees.”This games are important for friendship amongst employees of different Municipalities” the appreciated the Support from Letsatsi Finance, Old Mutual, Standard Bank.

The National President of SAMWA Mr Thapelo Jacobs emphasized that later this year in September the National SAMWA Games will be held in Gqeberha city, hosted by Nelson Mandela Metro.

The Municipalities are competing in 4 sports codes, Football, Netball, Pool, Darts.

The games are expected to end tommorow Saturday 25 July 2026

We are experiencing water interruptions at Newtown, Maranteng, parts of Postmasburg Town due to pipe burst at Pendoring Street.

The contractor is on site for repairs and water will be restored immediately when thsy are done.

As part commemorating International Nelson Mandela Day the employees of Tsantsabane Local Municipality, led by the speaker of the Council Lindiwe Teise accompanied by Ward Councilor De Youngs Minnies and Maria Tonyane donated grocery to Lebelelang Centre for the Disabled in White City
