ANNUAL SUPPLIER ENGAGEMENT ROADSHOW

Northern Cape Provincial Treasury (NCPT), through the Unit of Central Supplier Database Unit (CSD) in partnership with SEDFA, SARS, Standard Bank, and the Department of Economic Development and Tourism, is hosting the Annual Supplier Engagement Roadshow in Tsantsabane Municipality, Postmasburg

The Annual Supplier Engagement aims to connect local businesses and create awareness on support services and opportunities offered by Government and its Entities and the Private Sector.

The session is targeting SMMEs, Emerging Contractors, Cooperatives and Youth- and Women-Owned Enterprises in the Municipalities across the Province.

These sessions are platforms that provide important information on government procurement processes, CSD registration, tender compliance and payment systems.

During these sessions, partners focus on the following area:

The South African Revenue Services (SARS) conducts a presentation related to tax compliance matters for the SMMEs,

The Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA) outlines business development support for the SMMEs,

Standard Bank present funding solutions for the SMMEs

provide information on construction registration and grading,

⁠Department of Economic Development and Tourism (DEDAT) share information on SMME support, incentive and sector opportunities.

These engagements also aim to promote transparency, strengthen accountability, improve supplier compliance and stimulate Local Economic Development, drive initiatives aimed at creation jobs and enhance the delivery of services for sustainable economic growth in the province.

Tsantsabane Local Council held a special Council Meeting on the 5th June 2026

1.Approve the IDP, Budget related policy, and organogram.

2.Approved Ethic Local Government Leadership Guidelines.

3.Electricity Supply.

Council noted with regret the negative impact of electricity supply disruption to Stasie and the other areas.

Acting Director Technical and chairperson of Community Services will complete a report on the matter, and will report on the next Special Council Meeting on Tuesday.

Water supply interruption in Newtown

The water supply is expected to be restored early in the morning tommorow(Friday) after the contractor had finished fixing the burst pipe
